And now for something completely different! In recent years, this sibling group of artisans has become increasingly obsessed with the world of self-balancing electric skateboards (ie., "onewheels"). We love exploring urban areas, wandering the lake Superior beaches and trail riding.
One drawback to this hobby is the pile of Onewheels constantly littering the floors of our small house. I needed to design a storage solution that took up as little floor space as possible. I also wanted it to be stowable, as onewheeling is a seasonal activity in upper Michigan.
Here's what I came up with:
After several prototypes, I settled on using plywood and this simple slot-together design that is very sturdy, yet easy to assemble and disassemble with no fasteners. It holds 4 boards, and has universal dimensions that can accommodate any size Onewheel.
I was happy enough with the way this turned out, I decided to offer it for sale. Granted, it's a pretty niche-product and doesn't exactly fit in with out existing catalog, but this is the selling platform I've got right now. Perhaps someday I'll create multiple shops to diversify our ever-expanding product selection, but for now I'm stuck trying to group everything under one banner.
