Handmade Chess Set with Heavy Board and Built-in Drawers Family Heirloom
Completely handmade, including the 32 sturdy pieces, each individually crafted on the lathe and featuring unique subtle character. The prominent grain pattern on the dark stained pieces lend a very striking appearance. The board is solid enough to be used as a step-stool, and includes two drawers underneath for piece storage.
The kings stand 3" tall in this set, with the pawns standing around 1.75". The board measures 16" x 18". Made of spruce wood and finished with a nontoxic eco-friendly laqcuer to bring out the grain of the wood and naturally finish it.
